What screening method does this tool use?

The Liquefaction Hazard Engine follows GeoLiquefy's staged commonsense screening method for screening earthquake-induced liquefaction and its consequences, augmented with case-history similarity matching against the Next Generation Liquefaction (NGL) database, more than 8,600 documented field case histories.

Is GeoLiquefy affiliated with the NGL project?

What units does the engine use?

All inputs and outputs are SI units (meters, kilopascals, megapascals, meters per second). Method thresholds published in American units are converted internally before screening.

Does a screening result replace a site-specific geotechnical investigation?

No. This is a screening tool, not a substitute for site-specific geotechnical engineering judgment. The compliance check that runs on every memo requires a Limitations and Caveats section header.
