What this covers

These terms govern your use of the Liquefaction Hazard Engine at engine.geoliquefy.com (the Engine), including running a screening, downloading a memo, PDF, or CSV, and minting or verifying a screening certificate. They do not cover geoliquefy.com, the company's marketing site, which has its own terms.

What the Engine is

The Engine follows GeoLiquefy's staged commonsense screening method for earthquake-induced liquefaction and its consequences, and augments it with case-history similarity matching against the Next Generation Liquefaction (NGL) database. A signed-in run reads the parameters you enter, screens them through that method, and generates a memo drafted by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). The memo is reviewed by automated checks before you see it, but the check confirms structure and prohibited language, not geotechnical correctness.

What the Engine is not

The Engine is a screening tool. It does not replace a site-specific geotechnical investigation, and it does not replace the judgment of a licensed engineer. Do not use a screening result as the sole basis for a design, permitting, or construction decision. The compliance check that runs on every memo requires a Limitations and Caveats section header, and that section is not optional.

Your account

Signing in requires an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). Running a screening may require an active subscription. You are responsible for the parameters you enter: the Engine does not fabricate values, but it also cannot correct a wrong or mistyped input. Keep your account credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Your data

When you run a screening while signed in, the Engine saves a record of that run to your account by default: the location (if you gave one), a site label, the parameters you entered, and the result. You can review your saved sites, export every run record held for you, or delete every run record held for you, at any time from the Engine.

Deleting your run records does not withdraw a screening certificate you already minted from one of those runs. A certificate is a separate, signed document meant to be handed to a reviewer, lender, or insurer, and it has to keep verifying after you delete the run it came from, or it would not be much of a certificate. A certificate carries hashes, version numbers, the risk label, the site label, the parameters you entered, and a hash derived from the location if you gave one, but not your raw coordinates. Certificates you have minted are listed in your data export.

Prohibited use

• Attempting to bypass sign-in, rate limits, or the spend controls on the AI memo generator
• Feeding the Engine instructions meant to alter its output rather than genuine site parameters
• Reselling or redistributing Engine output as your own analysis without disclosing that it is AI-drafted and screening-only
• Using the Engine to transmit malware, attempt unauthorized access, or attack other systems
• Scraping the Engine at scale or in a way that places undue load on the service

Disclaimers

The Engine is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. A screening result, an AI-drafted memo, or a certificate is not a professional engineering opinion and does not constitute engineering, geotechnical, insurance, or financial advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GeoLiquefy LLC and its officers, employees, advisors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Engine, including reliance on a screening result, a memo, or a certificate, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Engine is limited to the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the amount you paid GeoLiquefy for the Engine in the twelve months immediately preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Engine after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or your use of the Engine is to be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
